Ayurvedic dosha (Prakriti)

Prakriti is the mind-body constitution described in Ayurveda, the traditional medical system of the Indian subcontinent rooted in classical Sanskrit texts of the early centuries CE. It sorts people by the balance of three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), each tied to elemental qualities and characteristic physical and temperamental traits. Our free course explains the three doshas, helps you find your own with a body-type test, and shows how Ayurveda suggests balancing them — a traditional knowledge system, not one validated by modern science.

A concept from traditional Ayurvedic medicine, not established or validated by modern science. (Traditional Ayurvedic medicine; classical texts such as the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita (early centuries CE))
