- Focused attention — Resting on the breath or an object (samatha).
- Mantra & chant — Repeating a sound or phrase.
- Loving-kindness — Cultivating compassion (metta).
- Moving meditation — Yoga, tai chi or walking.
- Visualisation — Guided imagery and inner journeys.
