Within Buddhism, the tradition you follow or feel closest to. Each is described plainly and even-handedly — none is presented as the right one.

Groups
- Theravada — The 'Teaching of the Elders' — prominent in Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia.
- Mahayana — The 'Great Vehicle' — widespread across East Asia, emphasising the bodhisattva path.
- Vajrayana / Tibetan — The tantric tradition of Tibet and the Himalayas.
- Zen — A Mahayana tradition centred on meditation and direct insight.
- Pure Land — A Mahayana tradition devoted to the Buddha Amitabha.
- Nichiren — A Japanese tradition centred on the Lotus Sutra.
- Secular Buddhism — Engages Buddhist practice and ethics without the supernatural elements.
- Just Buddhist / other — Identifies simply as Buddhist, or with another tradition.
