Which hand you naturally reach with. Handedness is set early and is partly genetic; about 10% of people are left-handed.

Groups

• Right-handed — Favours the right hand — about 90% of people.
• Left-handed — Favours the left hand — roughly 10% of people.
• Ambidextrous — Uses both hands about equally well — rare.
• Mixed-handed — Prefers different hands for different tasks.
