Within Islam, the tradition you belong to or feel closest to. Each is described plainly and even-handedly — none is presented as the right one.

Groups
- Sunni — The largest branch, following the Prophet's example and the consensus of the community.
- Shia (Twelver) — The largest Shia tradition, following twelve Imams from the Prophet's family.
- Ismaili — A Shia tradition led today by the Aga Khan.
- Zaidi — A Shia tradition, historically centred in Yemen.
- Sufism — The mystical dimension of Islam, found within both Sunni and Shia life.
- Ibadi — A distinct early tradition, predominant in Oman.
- Ahmadiyya — A reform movement founded in 19th-century India.
- Quranist — Emphasises the Quran as the primary source of guidance.
- Just Muslim / other — Identifies simply as Muslim, or with another tradition.
