• Care / harm — Sensitivity to suffering; valuing kindness and protecting others.
• Fairness / cheating — Valuing justice, reciprocity, and proportional reward.
• Loyalty / betrayal — Valuing group solidarity, patriotism, and standing by your own.
• Authority / subversion — Valuing tradition, order, and legitimate leadership.
• Sanctity / degradation — Valuing purity, the sacred, and a sense of the noble.
• Liberty / oppression — Valuing freedom and resisting domination or coercion.
