ArtaQuest er en åben læringsplatform, der parrer grundlæggende fysik (hvordan verden fungerer) med humanitær filosofi (why we use what we learn). Every course is priced at the equivalent of one US dollar per hour of video (charged in USD; shown in your local currency), and a bursary covers the full cost for anyone who needs it. The platform is run by ArtaQuest Foundation, et canadisk føderalt non-profit selskab (#1794832-8 — verify on Corporations Canada). Ingen investor, leder eller medarbejder tjener på elevafgifter.

Skaberstigen

We don’t gate on credentials or pedigree. Promotion is automatic and rests on one thing: the total coins you have earned. The five tiers run from Novice to Grandmaster, and each step up moves your revenue share closer to the full 100% — from 38% at Novice to 99% at Grandmaster. Each tier doubles the coin bar of the one below it — 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 80,000, 160,000 — so every step up is genuinely twice as steep. The top tier takes a lifetime to reach — it is the equivalent of a tenured chair, and ArtaQuest takes almost nothing from a Grandmaster instructor’s courses.

Lecturer vs Instructor

Each ArtaQuest course credits two people. The Lecturer is the person on camera giving the lectures — the editorial face of the course. The Underviser is the person who built the course on ArtaQuest: uploaded the videos, wrote the attention quizzes, set up the certificate. The Instructor is the one who climbs the creator ladder and receives the coin rewards on every review, certificate earned, and quiz passed.

A Lecturer doesn’t need to be on the platform. An Instructor is always an ArtaQuest member. The same person can be both.

Revenue share

Every ArtaQuest course is priced at the equivalent of one US dollar per hour of video (charged in USD). Anyone who cannot pay can apply for a bursary that covers the full cost — no one is turned away for lack of funds. The percentage above is what stays with the instructor after card-processing costs (~3%) are taken off. At the Grandmaster tier the platform keeps just 1% — effectively the card-processing cost — so the instructor keeps the rest. Hosting and our small content team are funded by donations to ArtaQuest Foundation, not from the creator’s share.

How rewards flow back to instructors

Coins land in the instructor’s wallet on every meaningful event:

• Review left on your course — +50 coins, once per review.
• Certificate earned on your course — +25 coins, once per student per course.
• Quiz passed on your course — +1 coin, once per student per quiz.
• Course published — 10 coins per hour of video, once per course.

Students get rewarded too — +50 coins on every review they leave, +10 on every quiz they pass, plus whatever the LMS point system pays for lessons + certificates.

Donation tæller med mod tærsklen

Every dollar you donate becomes 1 ArtaQuest coin in your wallet, on the same ledger as the learning points above. Donating is one path to the coin thresholds — not a shortcut around the rest. You still need to publish courses, your students still need to pass quizzes, and reviews still need to come in for the upper tiers.

Hvad vi ikke leder efter

• Courses that mostly rehash Wikipedia or summarise material a learner could just watch directly. The Novice tier is for turning real teaching into proper courses — med opmærksomhedsquizzer, strukturerede sektioner og et certifikat — ikke til genupload af klip.
• Indhold, der promoverer et kommercielt produkt eller en tjeneste.
• Politisk indhold, hvis primære formål er partisk fortalervirksomhed. (Historisk-politisk analyse er velkommen; fortalervirksomhed er ikke.)
• Pseudovidenskab præsenteret under et videnskabeligt mærke. (Eksplicit filosofisk eller spirituelt indhold er velkommen - vi kræver simpelthen ærlig mærkning.)
