Learning style (VARK)
Neil Fleming's VARK model sorts how people prefer to take in information into four modes. Pick the ones that feel like you.
Hugely popular in education, but research finds no benefit to teaching to a person's "style" — treat it as a preference, not a fact about how you learn. (Neil Fleming, 1987)
Groups
- Visual — Learns best from images, diagrams, charts, and spatial layouts.
- Aural / Auditory — Learns best by listening, discussing, and talking things through.
- Read / Write — Learns best through written words — reading, notes, and lists.
- Kinesthetic — Learns best by doing — movement, practice, and hands-on experience.
